Be prepared for the inevitable viral strain on our immune systems.
This is a great tasting organic elderberry extract with raw honey, organic echinacea, organic apple cider vinegar and propolis.
Why Elderberry? Elderberry products have been used since antiquity for a wide range of maladies. Traditional use to fight “the flu” has been verified by the work of noted virologist Dr. Madeleine Mumcuoglu. Several research citations indicating the value in fighting the cold and flu bugs are available based on the work of Dr. Mumcuoglu. In fact, one recent double blind study completed at the University of Oslo School of Medicine, Norway, indicated that flu symptoms disappeared four days faster in those given the elderberry extract product.
Why raw honey? Besides being a terrific sweetener, it has health benefits all its own. In the raw state it provides important enzymes that aid in the digestion of the sugars. There are many that believe raw foods reduce the necessity of enzyme secretion in the body and preserve body function and in so doing extend life. Traditionally, around the world, honey has been used medicinally for a variety of complaints. One of the most popular uses was for stomach ulcers.
Why Echinacea? Most Americans have now heard of Echinacea. They may not be exactly sure of what it’s supposed to do, but they’ve heard of it. The most common traditional and modern use is to fight viral infections. German research refutes a general immune boosting property. However, some studies have not demonstrated echinacea’s use in fighting the common cold. In fairness to a long traditional history and a good amount of German research, there appears to be very good reason to include it in any immune boosting winter tonic.
Why Apple Cider Vinegar? There are several unsubstantiated health benefits of ACV based on traditional and modern use of ACV for health. One of the most common benefits touted involve the traditional use for gouty arthritis. Also included are weight loss potential, internal cleansing effects, natural antibiotic, digestion help, etc. One thing is for sure, raw ACV contains enzymes that are helpful in the digestive process.
Why propolis? Extensive research has been been done on some of the components of propolis. Propolis has broad antimicrobial fighting properties against viruses, bacteria, fungi, and even some parasites. Other noted effects in varioius animal, test-tube and human studies: wound regenerative benefit; immunomodulatory effect; anti-cancer; reduction of respiratory tract infections as a preventive measure (combined with echinacea and vitamin C); neuroprotective (via free radical scavenging/antioxidant nature of the components); anti-inflammatory; H. Pylori inhibition; liver protection; reduced asthmatic symptoms; psoriasis benefit, etc. A virtual medicine chest!
This product is a must to have on hand for the cold and flu season! It’s Mark’s personal favorite!
